Who should consider it?
The StormBox Micro 2 is worth considering when carrying less matters more than filling a large gathering with music. Its small square shape and integrated strap make it a practical candidate for a day bag, a picnic kit or a bike setup. Think first about where it will sit and whether the strap can attach securely. The fit recommendation is our editorial interpretation of the design; we have not tested this speaker ourselves.
What the manufacturer specifies
Tribit lists 10W output, Bluetooth 5.3 and an IP67 rating. It also describes USB-C charging and a power-bank function for charging other devices. These are manufacturer specifications, not measurements from Everyday Signal. The power-bank feature could be useful as a backup, but sharing the battery with a phone leaves less capacity for music. Check the current manual for supported charging arrangements before relying on it.
The portability tradeoff
A compact speaker can be easier to bring along than a larger model. That does not tell you how much bass, volume or clarity it delivers in your listening environment. If your main use is a busy barbecue or a large outdoor gathering, compare larger models before choosing on size alone. Tribit describes stereo pairing with a second Micro 2; do not assume it will pair as a stereo set with every other Tribit speaker.
