Anker 565: is an 11-port hub useful for your laptop?
More ports help only when they support the connections your laptop and peripherals actually need.

What the specification tells us
Anker’s US page lists HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, Ethernet, USB data connections, memory-card slots and an audio connection for the 565 hub. It lists 100W power input with up to 85W output for the laptop. These figures describe the hub’s advertised capabilities; they do not guarantee every function on every laptop.
Start with a connection map
Write down your laptop model, charger rating, monitor inputs and peripherals. Mark which devices need to work simultaneously. A long port list is only valuable when it matches that map. If you only need a mouse and one display, a smaller hub may be enough.
Our interpretation
This model is worth investigating if you need several connection types at a desk. It is less compelling if most of its ports will remain unused or your laptop needs more charging power than the advertised pass-through output.
The compatibility questions
- Does your laptop’s USB-C port support video output and charging?
- What monitor combinations and resolutions are supported on your operating system?
- Does your charger provide sufficient power for the hub and laptop together?
- Are the ports you plan to use for data, charging or video?
Anker identifies the hub’s USB data ports as data-only, without charging or display output. Do not assume that all USB-C sockets on a hub have the same role.
What remains untested
We have not measured temperatures, sustained transfer speeds or display stability. The manufacturer page and manual should establish compatibility first; independent reviews can then help assess daily use. Ask the manufacturer about ambiguous monitor configurations before ordering.
A single-display headline specification does not establish the behaviour of a dual-display setup. Use the manufacturer’s display-mode guidance for your laptop.
